(Toronto - May 6, 2013) Toronto’s start-up community has received a significant infusion of entrepreneurial talent for the summer. The co-founders of 13 new ventures have arrived to launch their businesses and begin the intense incubation phase of The Next 36 entrepreneurship institute. The summer program officially began today with Prototype Day at Toronto’s TMX Centre, where the young entrepreneurs had the chance to pitch their ventures and see how they stack up against the other co- founders in The Next 36.
On the eve of a historic policy shift that would influence the financing of early-stage ventures in the US, Professor Ajay Agrawal, Co-founder and Academic Director of The Next 36, will present pioneering research on crowdfunding at the National Press Club in Washington on April 23.
