Erica Baker

Kinesiology, Health Studies, Queen's University, 2016

Erica is an explorer by nature. Her multidisciplinary research background plays a large role in her ability to create valuable insights from multidimensional problems. Having worked extensively in reconciliation-focused projects between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples, she is not one to shy away from uncomfortableness and complexity. Through finding success in embracing uncertainty, Erica has been named a Loran Scholar and a YWCA Young Woman of Distinction. She graduated from the University of British Columbia with a BA in Indigenous Studies. Currently, she is a SSHRC-funded graduate student in the School of Kinesiology and Health Studies at Queen's University, and is jointly supervised by faculty in the Office of Public Health Studies at the University of Hawaii Manoa.
