Jonathan Ages is a startup executive with more than 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, operations, strategy and content.
Until recently Jonathan lived in New York City. While there he was the founder and CEO of active lifestyle brand Blood, Sweat & Cheers – a website, email newsletter, and events startup. Jonathan hired and managed the team who built the product, grew the user base, and sold advertising campaigns to brands (MillerCoors, REI, Reebok) and their agencies (OMD, Digitas, Centro). He also led the company’s e-commerce and events. Those channels sold unique products (apparel, goods) and ticketed experiences sponsored by brands (Tiger Beer, Shake Shack, Coco Libre). In 2015, Blood, Sweat & Cheers was acquired by Greatist – the leading next-generation health media company for healthy-minded millennials. Jonathan and his company have been featured by CNBC, Bloomberg, GQ, and Shape, among others. They were also honored by the Webby Awards in 2013 and 2014. After the acquisition Jonathan traveled with his wife. In 2016, the two moved to Toronto.
