Jennifer Ger is the Co-Owner of Foxy Originals Inc., a Toronto based jewelry design company. Founded in 1998, and proudly Canadian, Foxy is now a top selling brand in over 600 independent fashion boutiques and gift shops in North America.
A graduate of Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario, Jen met her business partner while getting her undergraduate degree. The pair shared a passion for business and jewelry design and were honoured recipients of the ACE Canada CIBC Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award. Upon graduating in 2002 with distinction as an Ivey Scholar, she and her partner launched Foxy Originals as a full-time enterprise. To complement their consumer based sales, Foxy Originals operates a custom division where they have created jewelry lines for private clients including Mattel, Hello Kitty, Nike and Umbra brands. Recently, they partnered with Target Canada to design and distribute Foxy by Foxy Originals, beginning in 2013.
Foxy is a proud leader in ethical business practices. Their recycling program was the first of its kind in North America, and all their materials are lead-free. Wherever possible, green practices are adopted in production and throughout their work environment.
In 2011, Jennifer was recognized in Canadian Business magazine as one of its "20 Young Women in Power." Along with her business partner, she has also been profiled on the cover of the Globe and Mail's Report on Business, as well as being featured in The Toronto Star, the National Post and numerous other national and local publications. Jennifer has also appeared on CBC television and the Marilyn Denis show to speak to the success of Foxy Originals and her own success as an entrepreneur. Several case studies, including one detailing Foxy's expansion into the U.S. that ran in Harvard Business Review, have introduced the company to business students around the world and solidified Foxy's reputation as a business success story.
